Laser Beamed

The Nike Huarache 2K4 has been called one of the best performing basketball shoes in recent years. In 2012, Nike decided to retro the shoe in several colorways. But one of the original colorways to kick off such a successful model was this Kobe Bryant, lasered edition...


This shoe was one of the models he wore before his Zoom Kobe signature line was launched in 2005.


Still wearing #8 at the time, his name could also be found lasered on the ankle strap...


The new retro colorways are just OK, IMO. It's hard to top these original bad boys.

Cheetah 2?

I'm a little confused, as I thought the original installment of the Kobe 7 Predator Pack (Shark/Wolf/Poison Dart Frog) was the Cheetah on Christmas Day 2011. But I guess the above Cheetah pair is dropping in August (8/25/12). Weird.

Just For Kicks

Check out the Lebron 9 Low "Liverpool FC" colorway. Lebron owns a minority stake in Liverpool FC, so peep the low-top to match the colors of the home kit with team logo on the heel.

Who's Got Sole?

This June, check out the 3rd annual "Cleveland's Got Sole" event, put on by my dudes Kevin Kramer and Andrew Watts. CGS will take place Sunday, June 24, from 12pm-5pm. Soaring To New Heights

The new Free Run 3 unveils Nike's attempt to "clarify" the midsole confusion on its Free models. Pictured here is the "Soar" colorway (Nike's new fancy way of saying bright blue)...


Nike reverted back to calling the midsoles by their rigidity; this 5.0 midsole is more cushioned and less pliable than the 3.0 midsole.


The midfoot lacing system mimicks the LunarEclipse 2. All in all, its a bit more snug of a fit compared to the Free Run 2, but I feel is a better fit without socks.


All in all, I'm pleased!

I'm not the biggest adidas Originals fan, but I'm a big fan of these adidas Samba-inspired Rod Lavers from Mita in Japan...

Minty Fresh

Easter was last weekend, but these mint Lebron 9 Lows still look fresh...


Running true-to-size unlike the mids, these are as comfortable as its past two Low predecessors.


The "L.J." logo on the back is reminisce of the Diamond/Tiffany logo, no?

One of my favorite all-time shoes is the Lunar Trainer. Ever since that shoe released, the Lunarlon midsole has taken on many shapes & forms, but never anything close to the Lunar Trainer. Say hello to the LunarMTRL...


The new LunarMTRL is inspired by the Pre Montreal, the shoe model worn by Steve Prefontaine when he trained for the 1976 Olympics.
