Sneaker Con Chicago 2012

I wasn't in town this past weekend, but the Sneaker Con event dropped by Chicago (sponsored by adidas, Leaders1354 & New Era).  Despite all the madness during the NATO Summit that weekend, the event was a success.  You can see dozens of the event pics here (courtesy of Sneaker News)

Whether you call these "Taxis" or "Maizes", this is definitely my favorite colorway of the Lebron 9 Elite.

Are these worth the $250 tag? Probably not.  But these sure beat the Lebron 8 P.S. from last season.

Both Lebron & Kobe ditched their Elites for their original signature models in PE colorways...

First, the King wore his MVP Lebron 9 vs the Pacers after receiving his third MVP award.  The Heat won Game 1 over the Pacers...

Meanwhile, Kobe unveiled a PE colorway of his Kobe 7 Supreme, reminiscent of the Kobe 5 "Bruce Lee"...

Unfortunately for Kobe, the Thunder walloped the Lakers by 29 in Game 1.
