When an Nike Air Max 90 release comes out with the color-blocking of the famous Infrared colorway, it's hard to pass it up. But the new grey/volt Nike Air Max 90 signifies the growing trend of retros that are a shell of their original self.

The shape is extremely narrow and looks odd when wearing the shoe. I have owned enough AM90s in my day to know that the fit is getting narrower. Plus, there is a cardboard feel of the midsole; it doesn't even feel like there is an Air unit in the heel.
