In 1984, adidas launched three running shoes for the LA Olympics: the Rising Star, Micro pacer and LA Trainer. At the time, this trio was the pinnacle of state-of-the-art technology for running shoes.
But a fourth shoe -- a lightweight, no-frills runner called the Centaur -- became legendary and the precedent to the current day ZX series. The two colorways above are originals, re-issued at London-based Size? (should still be available), while the quickstrike colorway below dropped at Scotland-based Hanon last week (sold out).
